0 Crank Softclose Clipon Hinges 4 Holes

The crank is the bend in the hinge arm, and it decides how the shutter sits on the cabinet. A 0 crank (straight arm) hinge is for full-overlay doors, where the shutter fully covers the side panel of the cabinet. This is the most common fitting for end cabinets, single wardrobe shutters and most modular kitchen base and wall units.

0 crank: full overlay, the door covers the side panel completely.

8 crank: half overlay, two doors share one middle partition.

15 or 16 crank: inset, the door sits inside the cabinet frame.

If you are not sure which crank your cabinet needs, bring a photo or the old hinge to the shop and we will match it for you.

Soft close: the built-in damper slows the door in the last few centimetres, so it shuts gently and silently without slamming.

Clip-on fitting: the hinge arm clips onto its mounting plate, so a shutter can be taken off and refitted for cleaning or polishing without unscrewing the hinge.

Easy alignment: concealed hinges can be adjusted after fitting, so carpenters can line up the shutter gaps neatly.

As a general guide, most kitchen and wardrobe shutters up to about 900 mm tall use 2 hinges, and taller or heavier doors need 3 or more. The exact number depends on the door height, width and board weight, so tell us your shutter size and we will suggest the right quantity.
